Neighbourgoods Market; Foodie’s Gem In Braam

I got to spend two delightful weeks in Johannesburg South Africa, for a work conference with my FK friends. It wasn’t all work, as we got to spend our time wisely 😉 on the weekends by visiting some fun places. On a bright Saturday morning, we (about 20 of us) went to Neighbourgoods Market in  Braamfontein- a colorful creative and yummy hub. The walk in is pumped by these vibrant group of kids dancing.

Inside the building, are several stalls with all kinds of delicacies. SO many options, smoothies, Paella, Cakes, wine, burgers and Cheese. It was the perfect scene for my camera and I. I loved this over-sized pan simmering with sea food.

On the second floor is a chilled terrace with a cool atmosphere. There was a band playing, people chatting and cooling off the sunny weekend.

Inside is the the designers area, where a group of entrepreneurs and many small businesses are selling locally made products and vintage clothing and other items.

With a wide variety for visitors hoping to buy unique items. i’d say this is a great spot.

I’d definitely recommend and go to Braamfontein again, for a relaxing afternoon with friends and family. I mostly enjoyed that we were  all kinds of people (young and old) having a lovely time with three of my favorite things; food, music and fashion! A perfect combo.

Have you been to neighbourgoods Market? Tell me all about it!

Happy new week,

Karen
