Have you noticed I’ve been on a few nature-adventures lately? I simply can’t get enough!

In my second brief tale about my time in Vienna, I re-live our excursion to Kahlenburg hill; the birds eye view of the city 🙂 I highly recommend visiting here in the summer, as you will appreciate the Austrian weather, woods and nature much more.

Getting to Kahlenburg wasn’t too difficult as I travelled with Linda and her class, which added colour to the trip. We took a metro, then bus all the way to the top, where we had the best view which sadly was obstructed by the fog that day.

We then took a walk passing some vineyads, cafes and hotels. We were so lucky to have Linda’s teacher as our ah-mazing guide, as she knows the woods and paths quite well. She also showed us how to pick some berries (I can’t remember their names) which tasted abit like tangerine and are nutritious.

One other cool thing about this trip was the marked paths, which made it easy to trace your steps back to where you started or to Grinzing. Not to mention the stunning memorial chuch! There’s also a hotel with excellent views of the Danube river.

What an excellent way to start our Friday 🙂 What have you been upto lately? I hope you’re having a wonderful week.

Stay cheerful,

Karen
